The Exit 47 band was established in 1989 and has been playing at nightclubs, weddings, and private parties ever since. While most bands play only one type of music, Exit 47 plays a large variety of music primarily consisting of Classic Rock, Top 40 Pop,  and New Country. Exit 47 tailors each show to the crowd and the type of music that the audience wants to dance and listen to. Each member of Exit 47 is a seasoned musician who has played professionally for over thirty years. While  Exit 47 is only a four piece band, they have a big tight sound. People are continually amazed that they only have four people in the band. Here is a little background on the band members:

Danny Barber - Drums and lead vocals. Dan is one awesome singer and a natural comedian. He has recorded in Nashville. Dan currently owns his own business - Excel Plumbing in St. Joseph, Mo. Dan has played professionally for over 30 years and is a former member of Midnight Rain, and The Rain.

Kevin Snowden - Keyboards and lead vocals. Kevin is an incredible keyboard player and an excellent singer. Kevin covers the bass, piano, organ, strings, and synthesizers. Kevin currently is a Compliance Officer for the EPA. Kevin has played professionally for over 30 years and is a former member of Myth and The Rain.

Brad Elder - Bass, guitar, drums, keyboards, and vocals.  Brad was the original bass player in the band back in 1989.  Brad left the band to pursue his career in teaching and moved to Texas.  Brad recently moved back to St. Joseph and we quickly brought him back into the group.  Brad is currently the music teacher at Lindbergh Elementary School in St. Joseph.

Mike Nichols - Guitar, Fiddle, and backup vocals. Mike is also the Business Manager for the band. Mike has played professionally for over 30 years and is a former member of Chateau and Midnight Rain. Mike is a CIBER Consultant, currently working at AMC Theatres Corporate Headquarters and the owner of Carrieoke Productions, one of Kansas City's largest DJ / Karaoke Companies.
